# Can I move my YouTube subscriptions to a new account? — Adinand Channel Sorter

**Not with an import button. None of the YouTube or Google help pages we read today describes importing a subscriptions list into another account, so the documented route is to subscribe again on the new one, at most 75 channels a day.** That cap is from YouTube's subscribe page: “You can only subscribe to 75 channels per day” (*YouTube Help: Subscribe to YouTube channels (Android)*, read 20 October 2026 — https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/4489286?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid). Before you start, though, check which kind of "new account" you mean, because one case has a better answer.

## If the new account is a Brand Account under the same login

YouTube documents moving a whole channel between Brand Accounts: “You can move your channel and its videos over from one Brand Account to another, as long as they’re associated with the same Google Account” (*YouTube Help: Move your YouTube channel from one Brand Account to another*, read 20 October 2026 — https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3056283?hl=en). That page is about channels and videos. Its list of what the move loses names watch and search history on the moving side, and videos, messages, playlists, channel history and the verification badge on the channel being replaced. **Subscriptions are not mentioned either way**, so the page does not tell you whether they travel. It also warns that choosing an account that already has a channel deletes that channel, “including videos, comments, messages, playlists, and history”, and that a supervised account cannot move its channel. Read it in full before trying; this is a channel transfer, not a list copy.

## If it is a separate Google account

There is no documented transfer. The tools Google does document point elsewhere:

- **Takeout exports, it does not import.** Its subscriptions part is a CSV (*Google Account Help: How to download your Google data*, read 20 October 2026 — https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3024190?hl=en), and the page's only route onward is handing your download to “a third party app or website using that third party’s access point”. What an archive holds is set out on [what is in a YouTube Takeout export](https://channelsorter.com/answers/what-is-in-a-youtube-takeout-export/).
- **The one direct transfer is for music playlists.** Google can copy “the YouTube Music playlists saved in your Google Account” to another service, currently Apple Music, and only playlists you created (*Google Account Help: Copy your playlists to a service outside of YouTube Music*, read 20 October 2026 — https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/14792019?hl=en). Channels are not part of it.

## Rebuilding by hand, without wasting days

1. **Get the list out first,** while the old account is still yours. Takeout's subscriptions file or the [channels page on the web](https://channelsorter.com/answers/see-all-youtube-subscriptions/) both work; the Takeout route is on [our export page](https://channelsorter.com/answers/export-youtube-subscriptions/).
2. **Trim it before you rebuild.** At 75 a day, 600 channels is eight days of work. Every channel you leave behind is one fewer to redo.
3. **Subscribe from each channel's page** on the new account: the subscribe page says “You can find a Subscribe button under any YouTube video or on a channel's page.”
4. **Set bells as you go.** New subscriptions start on personalized notifications (same Android subscribe page). If you want every upload from a channel, switch it to All while you are there.

If the button stops responding partway through, you have probably reached the day's 75; [why the subscribe button won't work](https://channelsorter.com/answers/youtube-subscribe-button-not-working/) lists the other causes.

## A checklist from Adinand Channel Sorter

[Adinand Channel Sorter](https://channelsorter.com/) can export your whole channel list as a CSV from Settings. The file is made on your phone and nothing is uploaded, and each row carries the channel's URL alongside its name, category and your tags, so you can open channels one by one and tick them off. That is all it does for a move. It does not subscribe the new account to anything; the re-subscribing is still yours, at YouTube's daily pace. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with YouTube, for iPhone and Android.
